HDY is situated in The Custard Factory, Digbeth, Birmingham’s buzzy creative quarter.
Originally built by Alfie Bird to produce Bird’s Custard in 1906 (yes, really!), today it retains its industrious edge with original Crittall windows, exposed steel and high ceilings – guaranteed to make any budding interior designer drool.
Today, The Custard Factory takes on a different guise altogether, housing an incredibly rich and diverse set of businesses, counting creative entrepreneurs, fanciful freelancers and an achingly cool start-up scene – all surrounded by wall-to-wall entertainment and more street food than you can shake a slice of sourdough at.
Counting an independent cinema, gym, urban golf venue, board game café and retro gaming arcade (not to mention bars galore), it’s no wonder that Digbeth recently appeared in The Sunday Times’ Best Places to Live guide, so why not work there too?! Now undergoing heaps of regeneration it’s the place to be.
